Three-dimensional cutting and pasting

GEOM does not allow any user interaction with the objects displayed, even though extensive manipulation of their parameters is allowed. To construct a molecule from atoms located by cursor, to isolate radicals and drag them to new positions, or to ``cut and paste'' are all operations consistent with contemprorary two dimensional images; consideration should be given to extending them to three dimensions.
